Cast
Candles with fine details and complex shapes are achieved by casting. Inspired by the sculpted curves,
leaf and shell shapes, and lighthearted decoration of antique furniture of the Rococo period, we have
interpreted these elements into candles that become object d'arte. A small factory in Thailand, operated
by two young women, makes these candles in a careful process that blends expert casting with handcarving,
maintaining the details and high relief normally lost in casting wax. The result is candles that
are fanciful, ornate and functional, uniting candle-and-holder into candles that move from illumination
to decorative statement pieces.
