Wholesale FAQs
What's so great about beeswax?
It's the oldest candle-making material, pure and limited in supply: it takes 100,000 bees to yield a single
pound of beeswax, from which we make 4 to 5 tapers.
Most of our candles are made of 100% beeswax, the most luxurious and costly of all wax. All of our candles are made by hand, with an attention to detail not possible with machine molding; we use the finest ingredients and materials for embellishments. The result is a candle that is of extraordinary quality, and a genuine value with the materials and workmanship.
Why are your beeswax candles 'ivory' and not white?
Natural beeswax has a range of golden colors, just like honey. To remove impurities and improve the
quality of the burn, we use beeswax that is filtered and strained, resulting in a wax that is a soft ivory in
color.
Are your candles dripless?
All candles can drip if they are exposed to a draft. Beeswax candles are the least likely to drip, and our
paraffin candles have been blended to make them as dripless as possible.
How long do the candles burn?
Tapers burn at the rate of approximately one hour per inch. Pillars burn from 3-8 hours per inch,
depending on the diameter of the candle.
What is the standard diameter of a your taper candles?
The diameter of our tapers is 3/4" at the base, fitting a standard candle holder.
Do candles come with holders?
Candles and holders are sold separately so that you can put together just the right collection for your
store and customer.
Why do you use paraffin?
Beeswax is beautiful but can be too pliable to carve or hold the detail of some of our innovative cast and
carved candles. We use the most appropriate wax for the design of each candle, and always use the
finest quality ingredients, whatever type of wax we use.
Where are your products made?
Our candles are made in small cottage factories in Thailand, India, China and Poland.
